The Washington Physician Hospital Organization or WPHO, a partnership of over 200 local primary care and specialist physicians and The Washington Hospital, is dedicated to your good health. Over ninety individual physician practices and The Washington Hospital have affiliated under the WPHO to form a local healthcare network. This partnership of providers works together to assure the access and availability of high quality healthcare services within our community. We have come together, for your benefit and your convenience, to simplify the complexities of modern healthcare.

The Washington Hospital, one of the region's outstanding community hospitals, serves Washington, Greene and southern Allegheny counties. A teaching hospital with a family practice residency program, nursing school and allied health schools, it is well known for its cardiac, cancer and women's health services. Chartered in 1897, along with its School of Nursing, The Washington Hospital is centrally located on Wilson Avenue in Washington and is the largest employer in the County.
The Hospital, which also has numerous satellite locations, provides the community with a full range of services-- inpatient care, outpatient treatment and hospice services, prevention and wellness programs and education-- all designed to meet the healthcare needs of our region.

Over 200 physicians are associated with WPHO representing 33 different clinical specialties ranging from primary to subspecialty care. Our physicians see patients at well over 100 locations throughout Washington, Greene, and southern Allegheny County. All these physicians practice at The Washington Hospital and utilize the Hospital’s network of outpatient centers.
